Branding with Bamboo

Creating content that encompasses the breadth and essence of AANHPI communities is wildly overwhelming. How can any one piece of content ever capture the rich histories, cultures, and voices that make up this diversely dimensional group of peoples?

When thinking about a rebrand of our content, we kept thinking about the strength, resilience, and flexibility of the many people who comprise the AANHPI community. So, of course, bamboo kept coming to mind.

While there isn’t a universal way to embody the beauty and identities found within the AANHPI community, there is no doubt that bamboo is cross-culturally reflective of our united ability to stand strong when we might feel pressured to break. Bamboo represents integrity, humility, and resilience because it can withstand so much without splitting. For some, bamboo offers protection and strength. For others, it reflects loyalty, integrity, and constant resolve. Others still see bamboo as an omen of positive relationships where friendship stems from clusters of community, creating thriving and robust lives.

While there will never be a simple universal symbol for the many communities that come together to make up the group that is the AANHPI community, bamboo comes close. We hope you will join us in our journey and learn more about the voices and perspectives we represent here in our very own backyard of Arkansas.
